STL Technology Solutions has yet again raised the bar in service standards with the appointment of Darren Lynch to its senior management team as Customer Services Manager.

Mr Lynch will oversee all aspects of the STL Support Service, from staff training to service delivery. Known for his friendly, results-oriented, hands-on approach, he will work closely with customers to sharpen and develop new service initiatives. He will also review and refine STL’s internal service procedures, and will introduce new mentoring and knowledge-sharing systems to ensure that STL’s team members stay abreast of the latest technology developments and are well-equipped to provide the highest level of service in the sector.

Ivan Durkin, STL’s Managing Director, said,

‘We’re always working to devise new IT solutions to our customers’ business challenges. Now, we want to transform service professionalism in our sector. As a skilled strategist, communicator and team leader, who clearly thrives at the interface between business and technology, Darren is ideally placed to help us achieve this while delivering immediate value for our customers.’

An impressive service record

A Manchester United fan, Mr Lynch has an impressive record of kicking goals of his own in the technology services sector. While managing the Customer Service Desks of IT giants like Oracle and Torex, he achieved exemplary service standards and levels of stakeholder satisfaction.

He joins STL after six years at Fujitsu (Retail division), one of the UK’s largest suppliers of EPOS software. As Service Delivery Manager there, he successfully steered multiple and complex IT, transition and transformation projects, such as the migration of the entire O2 retail estate from Windows XP to Windows POS Ready 7.

He has also worked directly with wholesalers and retailers such as Golf Holdings, and brings to our clients substantial knowledge of various IT platforms.

Mr Lynch has a BSC degree in Business and Information Systems, is currently studying for a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. In his spare time he watches sports, in particular Rugby Union, plays golf and enjoys travelling.
