STL has appointed Julian Oldfield, a highly successful lawyer, entrepreneur and company director, as Advisor to its Board.
STL Managing Director, Ivan Durkin, said, ‘STL’s founders have successfully piloted the company from start-up through the recession, dramatic sector changes, tech revolutions and pre-Brexit trauma. Despite all these challenges, we have continued to gain clients, developed the best technology for wholesalers and expanded into the retail sector.
‘As the Board prepares to navigate the most exciting period of the company’s history yet, we recognise that we would benefit from the input of someone with major corporate experience, a more removed perspective and fresh ideas.’
Julian is a qualified solicitor and experienced company director, who has established, run and disposed of numerous companies and LLPs. He has a deep knowledge of the regulatory system, risk management and business planning, and is an expert in management structures, corporate innovation, finance reporting/management accounts and problem solving.
Julian will attend Board meetings and individually mentor each of STL’s Directors. He will apply unique intellectual property to help STL optimise the opportunities it has generated, and improve its revenue, management and cultural systems, to grow quickly yet sustainably.
He said, ‘I am passionate about business strategy and training, and am excited to be on board STL, helping it to fulfil its very big potential.’
Beyond work, Julian’s interests are equally varied. He enjoys friends, family life and walking the dog; watching football, coaching swimming and fitness training; not to mention globe-trotting and fine wine.
