STL POS Evo is the culmination of two years of close collaboration and trials with top wholesalers, and a substantial investment in development.

As a result, it’s packed with functionality that takes cash & carry trading into a new, cost-efficient era of point of service.

Works with any ERP system

In an industry-first, because STL POS Evo is based on a modern, open architecture, it can integrate seamlessly with any ERP software. So, any wholesaler can gain the significant advantages this new solution delivers, without the disruption of a major IT project.

Plus, STL POS Evo can be housed in any hardware configuration (subject to minimum specifications) – from pole or plinth to desk or kiosk. This gives operators the option to reconfigure their depots to fit in more aisles, and to custom-design a modern, stylish look for a more memorable visitor experience.

So easy to use

Users tell us they love STL POS Evo’s inviting and responsive colour touchscreen, which makes it quick and easy to navigate with minimal training.

It can display product images as items are scanned, which helps to prevent checkout errors.

Plus, it can also flag special offers, boosting sales and customer satisfaction.

Fast, fuss-free checkout

Customers say they love the efficiency this ease-of-use brings to the checkout experience. What’s more, STL POS Evo keeps queues flowing by bypassing the traditional chore of printing invoices at the POS.

Instead, transactions from all category areas – from groceries to tobacco – are automatically collated against a customer’s account in the cloud. This is then accessed at central cash, where an invoice can still be printed if a customer wants, without clogging up the aisles.

Email record of transactions

STL POS Evo will automatically email customers a copy of their invoice, giving them an easy-store record of their transactions.

The clever software can also email transaction data in CSV file format to the wholesaler’s own-label store operators. This enables them to quickly upload the information to their systems, without the need for rekeying.

What’s more, because the Evo software runs in the cloud, account numbers are held centrally. This means that customers can shop at any depot that’s convenient, building loyalty to operators while keeping account management simple.

All this ensures customers have a memorable experience – at the checkout and beyond.

Cuts costs

STL POS Evo is engineered for efficiency, which slashes both the capital and operational costs of tilling.

Because it crunches data centrally in the cloud, it doesn’t require the usual hardware extras at each till, such as keyboards and 80-column printers.

And, by significantly reducing the demand for printed invoices, it cuts the cost of printer ink, paper and power usage.

Being so intuitive to use, it requires little training investment.

Plus, because it’s based on the latest and most efficient tech stack, it automatically absorbs function and security updates in real time, thereby reducing support demands.

Keeps trading if network connection fails

Even if there is a problem with the Internet connection, server or integrated systems, STL POS Evo will keep trading.

It simply scans and processes transactions as normal but stores the data locally (within the POS unit). It then prints invoices from the back-up 40-column thermal receipt printer available at each checkout, instead of at central cash.

Then, once connectivity is restored, the new sales data will simply upload to core systems – without the need for data re-entry.

Clive Mallender, STL’s Sales Director, said,

‘Judging by the unanimously positive feedback from our first customers, STL POS Evo is exactly what wholesalers have been waiting for.

‘It a genuinely revolutionary solution that wows customers, makes work easier for users, and saves operators money. We’re excited about working with more wholesalers to take their business into a new era of tilling.’
